Nigeria's elderstatesmen finally form association to salvage country


- The elderstatesmen from the southern part of Nigeria met in Lagos to review the country's current situation and call for secession - They commended Ibrahim Babangida, Atiku Abubakar and Yakubu Gowon for speaking out in favour of restructuring Nigeria’s elders from the southern part of the country have decided to form the formed a forum under the ‘Yiiegba Charter’ with a major aim of speaking out as Nigeria’s immediate future continues to remain uncertain. After meeting in Lagos state on Tuesday, June 27, the group declared their support for the unity and peace of Nigeria. Daily Independent reports that the chairman of the group, Prof Anya O Anya, said it was important for Nigerians to remain one and indivisible.
